Cassi has assembled a dedicated team of therapists who pride themselves on providing the highest level of service to the children.
LA Speech Therapy Solutions (formerly Cassi Alter, MA-CCC and Associates), has over twenty years of clinical experience as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley in May 1988, and obtained her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from California State University LA in 1995.
Since then, Cassi has worked in a variety of hospital, school, daycare and home settings in the Los Angeles area. Special areas of expertise include early intervention for children with global delays, autism spectrum disorders and has an excellent track record in treating elementary articulation problems. She also has specialized training in working with children who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, with an emphasis on restoring both cognitive and communication skills for rapid community reintegration.
Cassi holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has her California license from the California Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and is a designated Child Development Specialist in the regional center network of providers for the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders. Cassi taught Normal Language Development in the Undergraduate Speech program at Touro College in Los Angeles for 4 years and is frequently a featured speaker at parent and teacher training programs throughout the Los Angeles area.
In recent years, she has served as a consultant on music video and television projects requiring her expertise to assess and improve upon the speech of performers.

We were introduced to Cassi and Ching virtually right at the beginning of the COVID shutdown. During our initial session, Cassi introduced my child to a simple technique that addressed a specific sound he was struggling with. Surprisingly, within just 10 minutes, she accomplished what previous therapists (both regional and private) hadn’t been able to achieve over months of sessions. Ching then refined the technique and made it second nature for my child, meticulously testing it in various scenarios and skillfully picking up on other speech nuances along the way. Over time, Ching became an indispensable figure in my child’s life, playing multiple roles as a therapist, life coach, cheerleader, reading tutor, mentor, and trusted friend. It was amazing how often my child would enter sessions in a foul mood but come out laughing. Ching possesses that special ability to engage children in drills without them even realizing it. She effortlessly meets them where they are and has an exceptional ear for their needs. Remarkably, even in virtual sessions, she could identify problematic areas that we, as parents, had missed. To me, she was not just a speech therapist but also a guiding force in parenting. I can’t stress enough how invaluable she has been.
